1. This goes without saying, but we're going to put it out there just to be safe: please, for the love of all that is holy, let's keep the drama at a murmur. Remember that IC does not equal OOC, that most misunderstandings are just that, and that if you can't see your way around a situation, the mods are always here to help.

2. We're going to be extremely strict about god-modding and meta-gaming. That means your character should not have information only available to you in an OOC context and you leave the actions (and reactions) of other characters to those who control them.

3. In keeping with the above sentiment, IC actions always come with IC consequences. A game like Battlers involves a degree of risk and no, your character is not always going to be sly and smart enough to slip out of punishment or consequences. Be prepared and when in doubt, ask a mod.

4. Shipping can be great and we're not here to police who ends up with who. But please note that if your character begins to revolve around their partner or is using plot simply to promote a ship, we'll probably pop you a quick IM just to give you a head's up that we want to see your brilliant character involved in other plots -- share the wealth!

1. For the time being, our character limit is SIX (6): five students, four preferably in a different year with the fifth being doubled up in one year, and only one mentor. While there isn't necessarily a time wait in between characters, we do reserve the right to ask to see more activity from a character before holding the next. Don't overload yourself!

2. Once a month we'll be doing a role call to make sure everyone is still interested in playing. We're not interested in word counts -- some characters are known for their fantastic, one sentence entries and ensuing comment bombs -- but we do want you to provide what you think is good, solid evidence of activity. Ideally, we would like characters to be updating their journals at least twice a month (and not on the eve of a role call).

3. Real life happens! If you need a hiatus from the game, no big deal. Just make sure you post something on the Hiatus Page instead of only in the OOC community -- it'll help us keep track.

1. Here's where things get a wee bit OCD and we have to apologize: to keep things uniform, we've set up various formats for all the types of posts you can expect in Battlers. To ensure everyone is on the same page, here are the possible modes of posting in the main community (note that all journal entries are standard, first person "blog" type ramblings):

• Narratives
• Logs/Scenes
• E-mails
• Text messages
• Video blogs
• IC/OOC logs

2. People can filter entries (or portions of entries) privately to other individuals. For the sake of simplicity, we don't require a separate entry for every private vs. public post. We do ask that you use the following formatting when filtering something private:

In comments, we ask that you simply state the character's name the comment is being filtered to:

1. Please note that icons are for our OOC benefit. They are not seen in game and should not be referred to. Doing so can make for awkward RP moments!

2. On the topic of PBs, we do not have a banned list as such. We do, however, reserve the right to reject a PB or ask for sample sets to ensure everyone's on the same page. Models are 99% likely to be rejected and will be incredibly scrutinized. When it comes to age and ethnicity, we'll be more flexible but are looking for realistic representations.
