student activities.
student activities
Just like any college, Camulus offers a variety of sports, societies, clubs and other extra-curriculars in order to keep their students social, mentally and emotionally healthy, and -- well, it makes for good television. Beyond the standard offerings, Camulus students are encouraged to propose ideas yearly. Often, the formation and survival of a new club has decent entertainment value, and an annual budget is allotted for upstarts. Please feel free to comment below if you (and more helpfully, your character!) have a new activity to propose.

STUDENT GOVERNMENT

RELEVANT POSITIONS:
PRESIDENT - The President is the primary spokesperson for the Student Government. They are responsible for maintaining an awareness of major issues affecting students and shall supervise the overall administration of the Student Government and coordination of the Executive Committee.
VP OPERATIONS & FINANCE - The VP Operations & Finance is responsible for setting, managing and maintaining the yearly Student Government budget. All requests for new club formations and additional funding money are done through them.
VP STUDENT LIFE - The VP Student Life is responsible for overseeing and ensuring resources like health and dental care are available to students and advocate particularly around mental health outreach programs within the school for those preparing for the Tournament. They also sets mandates around rules for clubs, sports and societies, organize Frost (Welcome) Week and orchestrate meetings for the Winter and Summer Socials.
VP EXTERNAL - The VP External is essentially a glorified press agent working on behalf of the student body. They are in charge of relations between the student body and the general public, as well as the government. VP External organizes press conferences, is generally contacted for media pieces and is the liaison between the T.V. producers and the student body.
VP INTERNAL - The VP Internal has perhaps the most responsibilities of the Executive Council. They represent the students interests within the framework of the Tournament, and through them amendments and rule changes are first proposed. They generally act as liaison between students and the Tournament Makers, as well as help to organize Ranking Week. The VP Internal also represents students' interest with respect to academics.
EXECUTIVE SECRETARY - The Executive Secretary must be a little bit OCD; they take the meetings minutes, maintain Student Government files and contact the student body through e-mail about upcoming events, meetings and important votes.

YEAR REPS - Elected annually at the end of first month, these members are somewhere between general and executive council. They represent the interests of their year and tend to have a few extra meetings with the Exec Council per year. The fourth year rep is one of the most important positions in the school, as they directly advocate for those competing in the Tournament.
GENERAL COUNCIL - Raise and vote on various issues. Students must attend a minimum of 6 meetings annually to be considered part of student council. They volunteer to help run things like Ranking week and Frosh week.

*Please note that executive postions cannot be held as we reserve the right to accept on the basis of the candidate's personality and skill set.

PRESIDENT: Dembe Adrisi
VP OPERATIONS & FINANCE: Aiden Park
VP STUDENT LIFE: Hyewon Yoo
VP EXTERNAL: Renee Liu
VP INTERNAL: Held.
EXECUTIVE SECRETARY:
YEAR REPRESENTATIVES: Seniors: Open; Juniors: Yeon Son; Sophomores: Brielle Leblanc; Freshmen: Azoria Kormos
GENERAL COUNCIL: Ariel Dahan, Bjorn Valdimarsson, Carys Llewellyn, Lars Heikkinen-Laine, Roxy Roquette, Vilhjalmur Sigurbjornsson
THE SOCIETIES

RELEVANT POSITIONS:
PRESIDENT - Calls and presides over all group meetings, and (tries to) run meetings in an orderly fashion. Mainly deals with external affairs, including relaying information between the society and other society presidents along with higher officials such as Mentors and the Headmaster.
VICE PRESIDENT - Second-in-command. The Vice President runs — in tandem with the President — the internal operations of the society. They are usually the go-to person for knowing the abilities, strengths, and weaknesses of respective members.
PLEDGE MASTER - While students are pledging a society, the Pledge Master is their "captain" of sorts. They schedule and reside over all pledge meetings and, depending, may even assign "big brothers" and "big sisters" to pledges to teach them the ropes.
SOCIAL CHAIR - Quite possibly the most sociable (obviously) out of the whole society committee. They schedule parties and get-togethers, even with other societies. The social chair is probably the most important position when it comes time for the Summer Social and the Winter Ball.

alpha wolves
FORMERLY KNOWN AS ALPHA ALPHA ALPHA.
PRESIDENT: Antonio Tovar
VICE PRESIDENT: Dante Cordoba
PLEDGE MASTER: Johnny Justice Jr.
SOCIAL CHAIR: Layth al-Nabulsi
MEMBERS: Benjamin Broussard, Dai Thomas, John Collins, Konstantin Leonov

They freely admit it: the Alpha Wolves conform to all the stereotypes their name and their status as the only all-bro frat house on campus suggest. With an emphasis on brawn over brains, the clandestine Alpha Wolves embody all that virile masculinity has failed to impress us with: stupid bravado, superficial standards and an unflinching dedication to the bro code. Fashioned like an old gentleman's club, it is to no one's surprise that they value themselves first followed closely by their other Alphas. In everyday situations, it's not unlikely to see an Alpha pick an Alpha over another student (secretively or otherwise).
the amazons
FORMERLY KNOWN AS ALPHA MU ZETA.
PRESIDENT: Viveka Korolevko
VICE PRESIDENT: Gwendolyn Khan
PLEDGE MASTER: Elin Tyrsdottir
SOCIAL CHAIR: Marcella Martino
MEMBERS: Azoria Kormos, Carys Llewellyn, Chloe Halloway, Elin Tyrsdottir, Helga Reinhardt-Schweitzer, Hyewon Yoo, Iseul Gam, Liliana de la Cruz, Méi Lín Xiè

While sororities may conjure up images of vapid, blonde bimbos, make no mistake: the Amazons are not to be underestimated. Sure, they may have a tendency to be a little more into their looks than the average competitor, what really brings them together is a belief in the power and strength of women in numbers. A favourite in the media, the Amazons are known for their elaborate bi-yearly formal parties and their intense love-hate relationship with the Alpha Wolves.
omega squadron
FORMERLY KNOWN AS XI EPSILON OMEGA.
PRESIDENT: Teodoro Reyes
VICE PRESIDENT: Mariko Nakamura
PLEDGE MASTER:
SOCIAL CHAIR: Mercedes Torres
MEMBERS: Aiden Park, Ariel Dahan, Esmee Devereux, Jacques Dufaux, Jose Cuervo, Juliet Rose, Jungmo Nam, Kumar Ayer, Lars Heikkinen-Laine, Yazmira Aslan

As the unofficial saying across the campus goes: once an Omega, always an Omega. Mutants, martial artists, weapon masters, anything pertaining to strength of body, mind or even their sword, is welcome at Omega Squadron. They have a surprisingly well-trained eye for the underdog and Omegas value loyalty in a way the other houses don't. For all intents and purposes, they make a SWAT team look like complete garbage. If you're looking for a good time, the co-ed Omega Squadron is always on point: kegs, pretty girls (or boys for the house ladies) and a great speaker system — what more could you ask for?
psi force
FORMERLY KNOWN AS TAU PSI BETA.
PRESIDENT: Amaya Vega
VICE PRESIDENT: Yeon Son
PLEDGE MASTER: Fredrik Sørensen
SOCIAL CHAIR: Danny Best
MEMBERS: Dorean Moriarity, Fiona Orbison-Davies, Katalin Kiss, Killian Duff, Örn Gunnarsson, Raphael Amante, Sebastian Leventis, Slamet Smith, Vanja Eliassen

Talk about luxury! You have your occasional werewolf or vampire, your half-bred denizen of the underworld, perhaps even a merman and a cat-girl but Psi Force is also known for housing a lot of kids of deities. For the socially awkward, this co-ed house can at first appear a little intimidating, but fear not! Emphasis is on inclusion, even if you can't count Zeus in your family line. The otherworldly types in Psi Force emphasize the superiority of only being half-mortal and transform even the creepiest wallflower into an enviable symbol of status. The out-of-control bacchic-style revelries? Just one of the perks of being a freak of nature.
sigma crew
FORMERLY KNOWN AS SIGMA PHI NU.
PRESIDENT: Held.
VICE PRESIDENT: Noach Lutgens-Kanowitz
PLEDGE MASTER:
SOCIAL CHAIR: Casper Strauss
MEMBERS: Fabien Delacroix, Isolde Sarkozy, Jai Meghani, Klaus Fenstermacher, Lani Pinnell, Renee Liu, Verica Kadlek

Lights, lasers, action! That's some of the stuff you'll encounter with the Sigma Crew. What you will not find? Martial arts meatheads or fantastical freaks. While some view this as the premier society for nerds and geniuses — and rightfully so, since membership is usually based on technological abilities and mental faculties — they are a friendly, if somewhat excitable, bunch. Indeed, this co-ed house is probably the more welcoming of all the societies. Events such as hologame night and bring-your-own-blaster parties are commonplace amongst the Sigma Crew and they spare no expense in elevating the technology at their shindigs.

CAMULUS SENTINEL

The e-newspaper of Camulus Academy, sent monthly to each student's PDA.
RELEVANT POSITIONS:
EDITOR-IN-CHIEF - The primary editor of the Camulus Sentinel, having final responsibility for the operations and policies. Additionally, the editor-in-chief is held accountable for delegating tasks to their staff members as well as keeping up with the time it takes them to complete their task. Some of their responsibilities include: Cross-checking facts, spelling, grammar, writing style, design pages and photos; editing any content in question, contributing editorial pieces, ensuring the final draft is complete and motivating the staff.
STAFF WRITER - Responsible for the articles given to them, are usually required to be versed in investigative reporting, and must work in a timely manner to reach the editor-in-chief's deadlines for publication.
